About the event When Passover ends and strict restrictions are left behind, Mimuna arrives - a holiday of open doors, sweets and the joy of returning to simplicity. It is an evening when tension subsides and is replaced by generosity, laughter and the feeling of sharing a meal together. Mimuna has its origins in the North African Jewish tradition and has always been a holiday of hospitality. On this evening, houses were thrown wide open to neighbors and friends. There were pastries, sweets, honey, fruit, music and laughter on the tables. The world became open, light and generous again: it was possible to be yourself, to share, to simply be together. Worries and borders disappeared, and with them social conventions. Everyone could feel the joy of meeting, trust and willingness to accept others as they are. Mimuna will take place at the Beseder Gallery as a warm, lively meeting without lectures and formalities - with traditional treats, music and the opportunity to simply be together after the intense days of Passover. It is a holiday of transition: from rigor to abundance, from structure to freedom, to shared joy. Mimuna does not explain itself. Mimuna welcomes - with an open table and an open heart.
