Shabbat in the Gallery

SHIUR is coming to New York on March 15 for SHIUR Shabbat in the Gallery… registration link in profile How can contemporary art reveal new insights into ancient texts and narrative? How can seemingly unrelated texts create a new con-text to appreciate visual arts? SHIUR Shabbat in the Gallery will explore these questions amongst the art of Rachel Rubenstein in FORMAH Gallery’s “Connected to All That Is” Exhibition. Join us for an intimate Shabbat meal, combined with an evening of text based discourse along with sources from theory and Kabbalah via a critical discourse lens. The SHIUR Shabbat in the Gallery series is held in concert with SHIUR gatherings in Tel Aviv and Berlin, where Jews and Arabs, Israelis, Iranians, and other nationalities, come together through text-based discourse at art spaces; thinking together, reading together, developing ideas and experiences together.
