Yad Vashem International school of Holocaust studies initiates a week-long educational seminar
aimed for the European Union of Jewish Students and their national student unions.
What?
This unique and mind-expanding seminar is dedicated to European students and Young Professionals
who want to take part in a large-scale educational, historical and philosophical seminar. The seminar
at Yad Vashem will combine tours, lectures, workshops, discussions, debates and reflections to create
an interactive, multi-disciplinary and educationally oriented experience. You will have the
opportunity to learn from and discuss with the leading experts in the field covering the topics:
Holocaust history, Jewish life in Europe before World War II, Nazi antisemitism, Memory building
around the world, Holocaust denial and Modern Jewish life all across the world.
Who?
The seminar is designed primarily for activists, university students and young adults between 18 and
35 who are or will be involved in Holocaust remembrance/education. It addresses those for whom
being at Yad Vashem will be beneficial in their community work. A high level of English is required as
all sessions will be delivered in English. The number of participants will be limited to 25.
Where and when?
The seminar will start on Sunday, 19th of November around 15:30 and will end on Thursday, 23rd of
November around 12:30. It will take place in the facilities of Yad Vashem, in Jerusalem. Attendance
for the whole length of the seminar is compulsory..
Price:
A non-refundable participation fee of 100 euros is required. Accommodation, food, program and
transportation during the program are fully covered. The participants will also be required to pay
their own flights from and to Israel. We are not responsible for international travel and medical
insurance.
