Join us for a special event addressing the ongoing crisis following the events of October 7. This gathering is designed to offer support to those impacted by the recent attack in Israel and the subsequent war, as well as to discuss the broader effects of the polarized debate on social media and traditional media. Participants will have the opportunity to connect with others, share experiences, and learn from experts about the challenges and risks that have emerged, including safety concerns at schools, workplaces, and other community spaces.
The event begins on Saturday afternoon with dinner and social activities, including an overnight stay for those who wish. Sunday is dedicated to more formal sessions, featuring a talk by a representative from a guest specialized in the field of social media etc and a workshop with the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). These sessions will focus on various topics such as social media safety, detecting and preventing radicalization, and ways to support children and young people who may be struggling. We will serve breakfast and lunch on this day.
This event is primarily for parents, youth, and other community members interested in understanding and addressing these issues. Families with children aged 12 and older are encouraged to attend, with young people between the ages of 13 and 18 requiring parental supervision. We hope this event will foster a sense of community and provide practical guidance for navigating these challenging times.
