Origin Story
Yallagan was born out of a shared frustration experienced by its three founders, Michael, Lucie and Alan, who frequently attended Jewish events but found it challenging to keep track of them through scattered sources like WhatsApp groups, Facebook pages, and newsletters. Every time they returned from an event, friends would ask how they discovered it, highlighting a clear gap in the market: there was no centralized, secure platform to find all Jewish events.
Combining the spirit of the words “Yalla” (let’s go) and “Balagan” (mess or chaos), the name Yallagan embodies the vibrant and dynamic nature of Jewish festivities. The founders envisioned a platform that not only unified all Jewish events under one roof but also ensured a safe and user-friendly experience for both individuals and organizations.
